This international event has been a weekend of great experiences for the swimmers. Five other European countries took part in the event such as Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, as well as one swimming club from Cork, Ireland. The Asgard Swimmers who took part were one of the youngest for their age groups to gain new personal best records and medals compared to all the swimmers from different
                                                   countries who belguim3took part.

Head Coach, John Kealy, said that the weekend in Belgium was a good learning experience for the young swimmers and their performances were fantastic. There was a mix of emotions; nerves and excitement but despite all that, they showed their true talent. I, as a head coach, am very proud of them. They deserve the credit for all their hard work in training for Asgard. We are hoping the next championships abroad for the swimmers will be in Switzerland in October 2010.

We would like to take this opportunity to say that the committee, coaches and all the members of the Asgard Swimming Club are proud of your achievements and may this be the start of your successful   swimming career ahead of you! Well Done Swimmers!! J
